An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the constable fell unconscious at the college premises, following which he was immediately shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Kathua for treatment. He said doctors at the hospital later declared him dead on arrival. The deceased was identified as Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Sikar, Rajasthan.
